Owning the Room, A Self Portrait Series
After reading and re-watching the Bridgerton series recently, I was inspired by the fashion and rebellious nature of a few of the characters (Eloise, Penelope, the Bridgerton brothers, etc.). With inspiration in tow, I embarked on a self-portrait exploration. I focused on bringing to life a character who puts forth her desire to feel comfortable in her own skin, stripped of Regency societal expectations… a welcome view of the ‘empowered feminine’.
Sans petticoats and corsets. Donning a “feminine-masculine” blended style. Owning the room with no reproach.
